Project Overview

In my capacity as Project Lead for the "Reva" real estate trading platform, I was in charge of managing the complete creation and improvement of an advanced online marketplace intended to expedite real estate transactions throughout the European Union, starting with the Polish market. Two strategic phases were used to carry out the project, each with the goal of achieving particular user experience and technical objectives.

Project Phases

Phase 1: System Optimization (October 2022 - February 2023)

  • Objective: To enhance platform stability by resolving critical system issues and optimizing performance.
  • Key Achievements:
    • Conducted a comprehensive audit of the platform’s performance, identifying and prioritizing critical bugs and inefficiencies.
    • Led the development team in refactoring legacy code, resulting in a more robust and scalable system architecture.
    • Implemented advanced error-handling mechanisms and optimized backend processes, reducing system downtime by 40%.

Phase 2: Feature Enhancement & User Experience Improvement (March 2023 - June 2023)

  • Objective: To introduce innovative features and refine the user interface, significantly enhancing the platform's usability and engagement.
  • Key Achievements:
    • Spearheaded the design and development of new functionalities, including an advanced property search engine, automated valuation models, and integrated communication tools for users.
    • Collaborated with the UI/UX design team to overhaul the platform’s interface, resulting in a 30% increase in user satisfaction scores.
    • Implemented a responsive design strategy, ensuring seamless access and functionality across various devices and screen sizes.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Cross-functional Team Leadership:

    • Led a multidisciplinary team comprising developers, UI/UX designers, and QA engineers, ensuring cohesive teamwork and clear communication across all project stages.
    • Facilitated daily stand-up meetings and weekly sprint reviews, fostering a transparent and collaborative environment that enabled the team to consistently meet project milestones.
  • Agile Project Management:

    • Leveraged Scrum methodologies to manage project workflows, with a strong emphasis on continuous integration and iterative development.
    • Maintained and prioritized the project backlog, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder expectations.
    • Delivered all project phases on schedule, with each sprint culminating in fully tested and deployable product increments.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Strategic Communication:
    • Regularly conducted sprint review meetings to present progress and gather feedback from stakeholders, ensuring their vision and requirements were fully integrated into the project deliverables.
    • Established continuous feedback loops with stakeholders, allowing for the timely adjustment of priorities and the incorporation of new insights.
  • Vision & Roadmap Alignment:
    • Worked closely with senior leadership to ensure the project roadmap aligned with the broader organizational vision of expanding the platform across the EU.
    • Developed a strategic plan for scaling the platform, considering regional market dynamics and regulatory compliance, to support future growth.

Stakeholder Engagement

A highly functional, user-centric real estate trading platform that greatly increased transaction efficiency in the Polish market was the product of the successful completion of the Reva project. Reva's increased stability on the platform, along with its new features and improved user interface, made it a major player in the local market. In line with the company's long-term growth goals, the scalable architecture and strategic planning also provided a strong basis for future expansion throughout the EU.
